Carla Jones


Carla Jones, was lead online marketer and social media strategist at Investec with a background in international marketing. She was the key driver in establishing the international online marketing and social media strategy for Investec.


Before Investec, Carla was GM of one of South Africa’s top Online Reputation Management (ORM) companies and as a result, her understanding of integrated marketing practices, including social media, digital business drivers and corporate reputation is widely sought after and she is a regular speaker at conferences.


Carla comes from an agency background, working closely with companies such as KFC, SAA, IBM, Deloitte, Reichmans Capital, Accenture, and others, on developing their overall digital strategy.

Jaco Meiring


Jaco Meiring has a business background and been involved in online marketing for over 17 years. He was one of the first people on Twitter, and brought tools such as ORM to the forefront. He consulted to a range of Above the Line agencies in the early years of online in South Africa and helped establish some of the first corporate online presences for their clients.


From the agency world, he decided to take the leap to the corporate world as the Head of Digital for Investec.


In the 5 and a half years that he was at Investec, he spearheaded projects such as the Investec App, the global website redesign, the global Intranet redesign, as well as Investec’s international social media strategy and an integrated marketing strategy resulting in unprecedented inflows from digital channels.


Jaco is a regular keynote speaker and chair at conferences.
